ENERGY models are the latest innovation of commercial refrigeration equipment from FREOR, reengineered to set a new standard for energy efficiency in real supermarket environments. While maintaining the same trusted design, these models have been optimized to deliver the highest energy performance across the FREOR range.

By carefully selecting and integrating advanced, high-efficiency components, our team achieved a true breakthrough. The optimized combination of high-performance components in ENERGY models delivers up to 50% greater energy efficiency, proven not only in theory but also under real supermarket temperature and humidity conditions.

THE MAIN CHANGES IN THE ENERGY MODELS

FREOR in-house-manufactured glass doors and lids for medium temperature units

Ensure a more precise fit and better sealing, minimizing cold air leakage and preventing warm air from entering. The argon gas in the glass door improves thermal insulation and minimizes heat transfer, and the low emissivity (Low-E) selective coating inside the glass reduces heat transfer into the refrigeration unit, lowering the workload on the compressor and cooling systems.

Enhanced glass wall insulation

The triple-glass (double IGU) glass wall design minimizes external heat gain, helping maintain stable internal temperatures and reducing the cooling system’s workload, which lowers energy consumption. The UV transmission has been reduced from 2.1 to 0.7, eliminating the need for heaters and preventing fogging, ensuring optimal visibility and performance.

Optimized High-Performance Component Integration

Improved evaporator coils enhance heat exchange and airflow for faster, more uniform cooling with lower energy consumption, while carefully selected, cutting-edge components are seamlessly integrated to operate in perfect synergy, ensuring maximum efficiency, reliability, and performance validated through extensive testing.

Better glass doors for low temperature freezers

The new glass doors reduce the need for door-frame heating, which significantly decreases the overall cooling demand.

Energy Efficiency Results

Together, these upgrades significantly reduce energy consumption in ENERGY refrigeration equipment models, ensuring energy efficiency of up to 50%. The energy consumption data was obtained from tests conducted in FREOR’s laboratory facilities, that meet the international testing standard for commercial refrigeration equipment – ISO 23953. Testing was performed under different climate class conditions – Class 2 (+22°C / 65%), Class 3 (+25°C / 60%), and not standardizing climate class conditions at +22 °C ambient temperature and 55% relative humidity, representative of typical supermarket environments.
