Despite the store’s more compact 840 m² layout, Migros opted for FREOR’s larger refrigeration equipment models for its broad product assortment, including the NDL JUPITER multidecks, NDL ERIDA, and NDL HELLA ED freezers. While these units have a larger footprint, they provide maximum product display area and visibility, allowing more product ranges to be displayed in one unit and optimizing the store layout.

To deliver the high level of freshness and product variety that Migros customers expect, the store relies on FREOR NDL refrigeration equipment. Each unit combines advanced refrigeration performance with modern design, ensuring both functionality and visual appeal.

Carrying a wide range of frozen products, Migros implemented two types of freezers – NDL ERIDA vertical and NDL HELLA ED horizontal models – both providing excellent product visibility and easy customer access. These units are ideal for the fast, efficient shopping experience that customers expect from a convenience type supermarket.

With even temperature distribution throughout all internal spaces and integrated defrost heaters, NDL ERIDA and NDL HELLA ED freezers ensure consistent product quality and reliable operation. The defrost heaters periodically warm the evaporator coils to prevent frost build-up, allowing cold air to circulate freely and maintain stable product temperatures, ensuring their quality. This not only improves energy efficiency but also minimizes maintenance needs and guarantees reliable operation over time.

For fresh and ready-to-eat products, Migros implemented FREOR universal NDL JUPITER multidecks, which deliver exceptional display capacity, ideal for its extensive fresh product assortment. NDL JUPITER’s multidecks modern design and energy-efficient LED lighting highlight the freshness of the product assortment and create an inviting atmosphere for the customers.

The Dual Airflow technology, standardly implemented in the NDL JUPITER units, not only provides a comfortable shopping experience by eliminating a cold air sensation in front of the multidecks but also ensures excellent product preservation by maintaining stable temperature and humidity levels inside the equipment.

Together, the implemented FREOR refrigeration equipment paired with a traditional centralized CO₂ cooling system enables Migros to maximize display space, maintain consistent freshness, and enhance the overall shopping experience within a more compact store layout, while ensuring energy efficiency.
