Modernized E.Leclerc Store Layout with NDL Refrigeration Equipment

FREOR NEW DESIGN LINE commercial refrigeration equipment is gaining popularity with its modern features and functionality. The latest implementation of this line was done in Grenoble City, France, by FREOR’s long-term partner in the country, Baltic Froid.

E. Leclerc, one of the largest retail chains in the country, has selected NDL refrigeration cabinets to modernize and enhance their store layout. By strategically placing the NDL refrigeration cabinets alongside their existing cooling equipment in specific aisles, E.Leclerc created a unique store layout featuring dark-colored, modern refrigeration units, creating a supermarket statement and making the products more noticeable. The decision to pair NDL refrigeration equipment with other cooling units highlights its exceptional functionality and flexibility.

Implemented NDL Refrigeration Equipment

E.Leclerc has selected FREOR’s NEW DESIGN LINE refrigeration equipment due to its ability to seamlessly connect with each other. The NDL JUPITER multideck units and NDL ERIDA freezer units share similar design features, such as four-level bumpers and upper covers that conceal the electrical panel, creating a minimalist appearance.

The NDL JUPITER multideck units were placed side-by-side into rows with the NDL ERIDA freezer units, facing either the fresh or frozen product aisles accordingly. The NDL ERIDA SLIM units were placed at the ends of the rows, creating an island-like appearance, highlighting the products, and making efficient use of available space in the store.

Medium height semi vertical NDL PLUTON SPACE was placed near the wall at the bakery aisle as a centerpiece for cake display at the customer’s eye level. The cabinet offers excellent visibility thanks to its frameless glass door design, which ensures an uninterrupted product showcase.

Modern and Sustainable Cooling

All of NDL’s commercial refrigeration equipment was connected to a remote cooling system that operates using the environment-friendly CO2 refrigerant, resulting in a modern and sustainable cooling solution that is energy-efficient.
