Environmentally Friendly Cooling Equipment

The Masoutis store on Leros Island in Greece, thinking about both design and the environment, chose plug-in refrigeration equipment from FREOR’s R290 & CO₂ World line in the classic and always elegant colour of black. The equipment operates on natural propane (R290) gas refrigerant, changing regime according to the outdoor temperature. That helps optimise electricity consumption, using up to 30% less energy compared to HFC systems.

Refrigeration Equipment Based on Store Design

Masoutis takes a modern design approach of clean lines and straight glass, which they also looked for in their refrigeration equipment. For a meat and fresh product display, the store went with a classic JUPITER multideck – made of powder-coated zinc-plated metal for great durability and with glass doors for better energy efficiency.

Sticking to the straight-line concept, for its cheese department the store chose a VEGA SPACE QB HG LU serve-over counter in a cubic style. This counter with a lift-up glass design provides an ergonomic work experience for employees, making it easy for them to access and tidy the counter.

For stocking frozen merchandise, the ERIDA SLIM freezer was a perfect choice. Its modern look fits perfectly into any store’s architecture and can be multiplexed for lines of any length. A narrow exposition depth means the equipment does not take up too much space and gives the store a fresh, not overloaded feel.
