FREOR, in cooperation with its partner in Cyprus, Gelo-Blue Cooling, has equipped two new Zorbas Bakeries in Paphos and Limassol cities with commercial refrigeration solutions.
Zorbas & Sons is one of the largest groups of companies in Cyprus. It started in 1975 as a small family bakery selling one of the most basic elements of the human diet – bread. Over the years, Zorbas Bakeries have spread all over Cyprus and have gradually expanded their assortment to include a variety of desserts, salads, takeaway snacks and hot beverages.

The company’s development is driven by a human approach, insistence on product quality, and being nature-friendly. Hence the team was looking for sustainable and space-saving refrigeration options for their new stores.

Benefits of the Hydroloop WPI Cooling System
The Hydroloop WPI cooling system is innovative waterloop technology operating on natural propane gas (R290), which has a tiny global warming potential (GWP) of 3, making the system a green solution.
As part of this technology, each refrigeration unit has a small circulatory water pump integrated. That eliminates the need for a main pump station, saving sales area in the store.
Key benefits of the system are its simplicity and flexibility. Installing a Hydroloop WPI system does not require an experienced technician – it is as easy as simply connecting the equipment to hydraulic pipes and plugging it in. As a result, store owners have the freedom to relocate units if needed.
Energy-efficient in Stores
The Hydroloop WPI system is great for stores that want to optimize energy consumption, like Zorbas Bakeries. It reduces the energy needed for glycol circulation by about 30%.
