Renovated COOP EXTRA store in Norway, Fana municipality, has been equipped with FREOR refrigerated cabinets operating on CO₂ refrigerant. The installation work was performed by our partner in the country NordDisk.
FREOR refrigeration display cases are modular and can be adapted to operate on different refrigerants according to customer’s needs. FREOR Green Wave product line meets the needs of the stores that care about ecology, as its units operate on environmentally-friendly refrigerants – CO₂ in transcritical systems or propane in built-in systems.
COOP EXTRA store uses green CO2 transcritical system; therefore the store was equipped with multidecks CALISTA and JUPITER, both adapted on operating in a CO2 system in an energy-efficient and environmentally harmless way.
CALISTA is a spacious multideck with upper mirrors to enhance the impression of product profusion and freshness. It`s a good solution for stores that expose a smaller range of fruit and vegetables but want to create an eye-catching effect.
JUPITER is a large capacity multideck providing an excellent presentation for any product put on display. Equipped with a Dual Air Curtain technology as a standard, chosen with glass doors, it saves about 50 % of energy compared to an open version.
CO₂ gas (R744) is one of the green alternatives to common HFC refrigerants. It is an environmentally-sustainable refrigerant with no effect on global warming in case of leakage.
Noteworthy characteristics of this refrigerant are:
Due to refrigerant characteristics, CO₂ transcritical refrigeration system delivers high performance and perfectly works under mild and cold climate conditions.
