Green Wave CO₂-Kälteanlagen verwenden das Kältemittel CO₂ (R744). Damit sind sie ideal für Länder mit milden bis kalten Klimabedingungen.
Bei Jahresdurchschnittstemperaturen von maximal 15 °C arbeitet das Kältemittel CO₂ besonders effizient. Die isländische Krónan-Supermarktkette macht sich diese Eigenschaft zunutze und spart mit Green Wave CO₂-Kühlmöbeln im “Land von Feuer und Eis” bis zu 10 % an Energie.
Aber das ist nicht der einzige Grund, warum sich die neue Krónan-Filiale in der Stadt Akranes für eine CO₂-Kühlanlage der FREOR Green Wave Produktreihe entschieden hat. CO₂ ist ein natürliches, ungiftiges Kältemittel. Selbst eine Leckage hätte keinerlei schädlichen Einfluss – weder auf die nahe Umgebung noch auf die globale Erderwärmung. CO₂ erfüllt damit jetzt und in Zukunft alle gesetzlichen Anforderungen.
Alle genannten Vorteile machen Green Wave CO₂ Kälteanlagen zu einer hervorragenden Investition, die sich in Ländern mit kaltem oder gemäßigtem Klima in nur 3-5 Jahren amortisiert.
Die gesamte Kältetechnik für die neue Filiale in Akranes wurde nach Vorgesprächen von FREOR ausgewählt. Alle notwendigen Dienstleistungen wurden vom lokalen FREOR-Partner übernommen. Das macht die Kommunikation und Installation und zukünftig auch die Wartung für die Filialleitung so einfach wie möglich.
Für die übersichtliche Präsentation einer großen Vielfalt an frischen Produkten wurden wandseitig lange Reihen der geräumigen JUPITER Kühlregale installiert. Für eine höhere Energieeffizienz erhielten die meisten dieser Möbel Glastüren. Nur einige blieben türlos – für einen noch leichteren Zugriff auf besonders umsatzstarke Produkte.
Bei der Ausstattung der Fleischabteilung entschied sich die Krónan-Filiale für die SB-Theke VEGA SPACE QB LG und die halbhohen Kühlinseln PLUTON SPACE. Die freistehenden PLUTON SPACE-Inseln haben gerundete Glastüren, die mit ihrem rahmenlosen Design eine hervorragende Sicht auf die Waren erlauben. Sie sind ein Blickfang und von Beginn an das Herzstück der Filiale.
In der Tiefkühlabteilung des Marktes fiel die Entscheidung auf die TK-Inseln HELLA und LUNA und auf den TK-Schrank ERIDA. FREOR TK-Möbel schützen Tiefkühlware im jeweils notwendigen Temperaturbereich, ohne dass Glasflächen beschlagen.
Das Projekt wurde von FREORs isländischem Partner FROST in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kunden realisiert. Besonderes Augenmerk galt dabei den Bereichen Lebensmittelsicherheit und Energieeffizienz.
