ICA, die größte Supermarktkette in Schweden, denkt grün – genau wie FREOR. Für die ICA-Gruppe heißt das konkret: eine Netto-Null-Klimabilanz bis zum Jahr 2030. Um dieses ambitionierte Ziel zu erreichen, sucht ICA ständig nach neuen Wegen, um noch klimafreundlicher zu werden.
Für Supermärkte und jedes andere Geschäft ist das Überdenken der eigenen Kühlstrategie von entscheidender Bedeutung. Klimafreundlich, energieeffizient und zukunftssicher sind die Ziele, an denen kein Weg mehr vorbeiführt. Die ICA-Kette hat keine Angst vor Veränderungen. Bei der Suche nach einer nachhaltigen Lösung für ihre neueste Filiale entschied sich das Unternehmen zum ersten Mal für ein Hydroloop-Glykol-Kühlsystem.
Die Hydroloop-Glykol-Kühllösung von FREOR nutzt die überschüssige Kondensationswärme der Kühlmöbel. Im Winter dient sie der Erwärmung von Geschäftsräumen und Wasser. Im Sommer wird die unerwünschte Abwärme der Kühlmöbel über umweltfreundliche Glykolleitungen aus dem Geschäft abgeführt. Das System braucht sehr wenig Kältemittel. Da ein Maschinenraum entfällt, wird Verkaufsfläche gewonnen. Mit Blick auf die hohen Klimaziele der ICA-Supermärkte liegt der größte Nutzen des Systems vorrangig in einer deutlichen Senkung des Energieverbrauchs.
Das ICA-Projekt wurde von Coolfors Sweden realisiert. Dieser FREOR Partner vor Ort gehört in Schweden zu einem der führenden Unternehmen im Bereich Ladenkühlung. Coolfors unterstützte die ICA-Manager bei der Auswahl der für sie besten Kühllösungen. Die Wahl fiel auf die klimafreundlichen Kühlmöbel und Systemelemente der FREOR Green Wave R290-Reihe.

Die gewerbliche Kältetechnik im neuen ICA-Markt nutzt ausschließlich das Kältemittel R290. Das Propan-Gas wird bei autonomen Kühlmöbeln eingesetzt. Bei Verbundlösungen käme CO2 zum Einsatz. Der Einsatz eines vollständigen Hydroloop-Glykol-Kühlsystems mit R290-Nutzung ist für die ICA-Kette ein Pilotprojekt. Das Unternehmen wird den Energieverbrauch dieser Installation mit großem Interesse verfolgen. Dann werden sie entscheiden, ob das getestete System für ihre kleinen Märkte in Sachen Zukunftssicherheit und Nachhaltigkeit die beste Lösung ist.
