FREOR Exhibited at K-Teams Days 2022

K-Team Days is a major retail industry event organized annually by K Group, the biggest trading sector operator in Finland and one of the biggest in Northern Europe. It gathers representatives of Kesko and K-retailers (which together make up the K Group) along with suppliers of goods, services and equipment to the group’s many outlets. This year’s trade show was held in Helsinki, Finland, on 5 November, after a two-year break due to Covid. It welcomed more than 9 100 guests, 850 K-store owners, and 220 other partners and suppliers. FREOR too proudly participated, showcasing its refrigeration solutions.

K Group and Sustainability

The K Group promotes sustainability throughout its entire value chain, from product development to customer decisions. It emphasizes reducing climate change, sustainable purchasing, and taking good care of people. In March this year, K Group adopted a new sustainability strategy plan which targets carbon neutrality by 2025 and challenges suppliers to also set their own CO₂ emission reduction targets.

FREOR at K-Team Days

K-Team Days give store owners and related companies a chance to discuss the specifics of managing a business with a focus on what is good for the environment: reducing adverse environmental effects, discovering new sustainable solutions, and finding new partners who are also thinking green.

FREOR’s local partner CoolFors Finland Oy shared our positive experience in providing natural refrigeration solutions for stores in Finland and other countries. It participated in the event, exhibiting FREOR’s most popular JUPITER multidecks and the futuristic EXO promotional counter.

CoolFors Finland showcased the innovation, energy efficiency, and environmental friendliness of FREOR’s R290 Cooling World range of commercial refrigeration equipment operating on the glycol-based Hydroloop cooling system. That system enables the reuse of excess condensation energy to heat store premises, thus saving even more energy. The equipment itself uses natural propane (R290) gas as a highly sustainable and energy-saving refrigerant.
