BILLA Bulgaria arbeitet seit über einem Jahrzehnt daran, seinen CO2-Fußabdruck systematisch zu verkleinern. Ein wichtiger Schritt in diese Richtung ist der Einsatz nachhaltiger und energieeffizienter Gewerbekälteanlagen.
FREOR hat zwei umweltfreundliche Gewerbeprojekte bei BILLA Bulgaria realisiert. Die Märkte liegen in den Städten Plovdiv und Dobrich.
BILLA Bulgaria hat sich auf verschiedene Maßnahmen fokussiert, um seine Energieeffizienzziele zu erreichen. Glastüren und LED-Beleuchtung gehören dazu. Schon sie allein senken den Energieverbrauch deutlich. Der wirkungsvollste Beitrag zur Energieeinsparung liegt jedoch in der Wahl des richtigen Kühlsystems und Kältemittels. Was richtig ist, hängt vom jeweiligen Supermarkt, seinem Standort und seinem Bedarf ab.
FREOR ist ein Verfechter der umweltfreundlichen Kühlung. Deshalb entwickelt das Unternehmen fortlaufend nachhaltige und energieeffiziente Lösungen, die an den Bedarf der Kunden angepasst werden können. Eine der beliebtesten und klimafreundlichsten heißt Hydroloop-Glykol. Dabei handelt es sich um eine kosteneffiziente Alternative zur Verbundkühlung, die bisher in beiden BILLA-Bulgaria-Märkten zum Einsatz kam.

Das Hydroloop-Glykol-System arbeitet mit dem klimafreundlichen und energieeffizienten Kältemittel Propan (R290). Das System verbindet steckerfertige Kühlmöbel, die bereits alle Komponenten und Kompressoren eines Kältekreislaufs enthalten. Die Verbindung zu den glykolgekühlten Leitungen erfolgt über Plattenkondensatoren. Je nach Bedarf kann das System die überschüssige Kondensationswärme über Leitungen nach außen abführen oder direkt zur Beheizung des Ladens und des Brauchwassers nutzen. Eine bedarfsgerechte Verwendung der Abwärme senkt den Energieverbrauch von Supermärkten um bis zu 30 %.
Die beiden von FREOR realisierten BILLA-Bulgaria-Märkte wurden mit den gleichen Kühlmöbeln ausgestattet. Zu den implementierten Möbeln gehören die Kühlregale JUPITER und NEPTUN, die Bedientheke VEGA QB HG, die SB-Theken VEGA QB LG und der TK-Schrank ERIDA.
