Die LaTS-Kette wurde 2007 gegründet und befindet sich im Besitz des lettischen Händlerverbands SIA. Inzwischen ist LaTS das größte Handelsnetz in Lettland. Es vereint in ganz Lettland 270 Unternehmen mit mehr als 700 Verkaufsstellen.
Diese kleinen Geschäfte befinden sich in der Regel außerhalb der Städte und bieten für den schnellen und einfachen Einkauf Waren des täglichen Bedarfs. Um das Einkaufserlebnis für die Kunden noch angenehmer zu gestalten und die Produkte länger frisch zu halten, war LaTS auf der Suche nach langlebigen Kühlmöbeln, die für kleinere Räume geeignet ist.
