Migros, the largest supermarket chain in Switzerland, has successfully implemented FREOR promotional IDA S range display counters in their stores. As a pioneer in sustainability and energy efficiency, Migros always looks for ways to improve the supermarket’s energy consumption. To achieve that, they started implementing IDA S range counters featuring additional energy-efficient solution.
The IDA S range counters are an autonomous cooling solution that operates using an environment-friendly natural propane (R290) gas refrigerant. R290 refrigerant can save up to 30% more energy than traditional HFC cooling systems, making it an ideal and sustainable refrigeration solution for Migros supermarket.
To ensure even better energy efficiency results, Migros opted for a simple yet effective additional option to be installed in the IDA S range counters – glass lids.
By utilizing glass lids, the amount of energy required to maintain the correct temperature inside the counters is reduced by up to 50% when compared to the open counter versions.
The IDA S range includes three different model versions to fulfill various product display needs: IDA S, IDA S H1, and IDA S H2. The counters offer a range of benefits.
The IDA S range counters offer numerous benefits, making them a versatile cooling solution. As a result, the Migros chain implements up to 40 IDA S range counters in each supermarket based on their size, layout, and other needs.
