Lietuvos mažmeninės prekybos įmonės vis labiau kreipia dėmesį į ekologiškų sprendimų pritaikymą savo versle. Po rekonstrukcijos Jeruzalės mikrorajone duris atvėrusi naujos koncepcijos „Hyper Rimi“ taip pat patraukė „žaliuoju“ keliu – įdiegė energiją tausojančių ir aplinkai draugiškų sprendimų. Parduotuvėje įrengtas LED apšvietimas su judesio davikliais jam reguliuoti bei suslėgto CO₂ pagrindu veikianti šaldymo sistema, kurios perteklinė šiluma panaudojama vandeniui bei patalpoms šildyti. Taip prekybos centras sutaupo 20% elektros energijos ir gali veikti be centralizuotai tiekiamos šilumos. Iki 1722 kv. m. ploto išplėstoje parduotuvėje sumontuota FREOR ekspozicinė šaldymo įranga.
FREOR jau ilgą laiką fokusuojasi ties aplinkai draugiškų ir energiją taupančių sprendimų kūrimu. Įmonėje gaminama Green Wave CO₂ gaminių linija, kurios šaldymo baldai pritaikyti veikti su CO₂ (R744) šaltnešiu nuotolinėje šaldymo sistemoje. Anglies dioksido dujos, naudojamos kaip šaltnešis, yra natūralios, gaunamos pramoniniu būdu iš oro, todėl nedaro neigiamo poveikio aplinkai ir nesukelia visuotinio šiltėjimo (VAT – visuotinio atšilimo potencialas yra lygus 1), kai tuo tarpu sufluorintos dujos (freonai), plačiai paplitę komercinio šaldymo srityje, – itin taršios ir lemiančios šiltnamio efektą.
Jeruzalės „Hyper Rimi“ parduotuvėje buvo sumontuota Green Wave CO₂ serijos šaldymo įranga: JUPITER priesieniai su slankiojančio tipo durimis, JUPITER BACK LOADER iš galinės pusės pakraunami ir šaldymo kambariams pritaikyti priesieniai, VEGA QB aptarnavimo ir savitarnos vitrinų linija. Taip pat suformuotos žemų priesienių PLUTON prekybinės salos, HELLA šaldiklių salos bei vertikalių šaldymo spintų DELTA eilė, puikiai atitinkantys RIMI parduotuvės „žaliuosius“ poreikius. FREOR šaldytuvuose įdiegti technologiniai sprendimai, mažinantys bendrą elektros suvartojimą: temperatūrą optimizuojanti dviguba oro užuolaida šaldymo priesieniuose, ekonominis LED apšvietimas, automatinis durelių užsidarymas.
Nepaisant didesnių CO₂ šaldymo sistemos įdiegimo kaštų, pastebima, jog ši sistema tampa vis populiaresnė. Šaldymo metu išskiriama energija gali būti panaudojama elektos energijos generavimui, parduotuvės patalpų šildymui arba vėsinimui, vandens pašildymui. Ilgainiui tai ženkliai sumažina parduotuvės išlaidas bei suteikia galimybę atsiriboti nuo išorinių energijos tiekėjų. Aktyvesnį domėjimąsi šia sistema lemia ir tai, kad netolimoje ateityje Europoje dėl sufluorintų dujų naudojimo ribojimo, pagal reglamentą Nr. 517/2014 bus uždraustos didelį VAP turinčios HFC dujos (freonai), tarp jų ir šioje srityje plačiai paplitę šaltnešiai, todėl įmonės vis daugiau dėmesio kreipia į „žaliuosius“ šaldymo sprendimus.
